Art Walk
Please Join me for a Forest Therapy Art Walk!
If we explore the forest through the lens of art, we find art everywhere. The art walk is a variation on a forest therapy guided walk focusing on activities centered around art-- noticing it, and creating it--either individually or possibly as a group. Art has many dimension--visual, audio, texture, motion and more.
You will be invited to engage all your senses to explore art through a creative, immersive partnership with the natural world.

Explore the Joy of Creating!

Forest immersion, also called forest bathing and forest therapy, is a slow ramble through the forest fully present and experiencing the world with all our senses. We’ll start with a gentle outward-facing meditation followed by a series of simple art-focused invitations to explore using the forest as a metaphor and catalyst for our inner creativity. An art walk is an opportunity to just be in the present enjoying the art around and within us. We'll discarding the ridiculous notion that art must be 'good' and celebrate the joy of creation through with the support of ‘the more than human world’.
Please note, this is not a hike. Total distance is typically less than a half mile. There is uneven footing which is generally found on a walk through the forest.
This practice of forest therapy originates in Japan where it is called Shinrin Yoku. There have been many scientific studies documenting the benefits of time spent moving slowly through the forest.

My heart tells me this: and I am absolutely certain nature would agree. If you are interested in coming on a walk; then I am delighted to be your guide.
